All €100.00 accounted forHow does FacturAI add detail to a budget?
You can keep using your own budget app. Right now FacturAI works with Actual Budget; other systems are not connected yet. The example shows what receipt detail adds to a budget you already use.
The family spent €50 at Albert Heijn, €20 at HEMA and €30 at IKEA. The bank already has these three payments, but the merchant names alone do not explain what went into the baskets.
The Albert Heijn receipt explains €36 of groceries: €16 of meat, €10 of vegetables and €10 of alcohol. The other €14 went on household items. At IKEA, €10 was a café visit and €20 was for home; HEMA was €20 for home.
When each receipt is matched and the Actual Budget integration is configured, FacturAI can split those existing payments into the user’s budget categories. The payments stay €50, €20 and €30; together the categories still add up to €100.
From a line on paper to a purchase you can find
AI helps read the document and identify individual purchases. FacturAI stores the reviewed result with its merchant, date and amount.

The original line stays with your correction
The photographed receipt mixes abbreviated products, a discount and a bottle deposit in the store’s own order. FacturAI keeps the evidence but gives every purchase the same readable shape and its complete taxonomy path.
If the suggested milk category is wrong, change it. That choice can help with similar purchases in your household later, and you can always review the result. The discount and €0.25 deposit remain explicit and the total still reconciles.

Make the history useful in your own way
Ask a question, inspect individual purchases, or add detail to a budget you already use. These are alternatives, not setup steps.
Ask about spending
On the website, a question gets an answer with the matching purchases behind it.

Coffee purchases in September: €20.69 across 3 receipts.
Only coffee lines count here; other items on those receipts do not.
How much did we spend on coffee in September?
You spent €20.69 on coffee in September.

A number you can trace back to its receipts
Ask how much your household spent on coffee in September. FacturAI adds up the coffee purchases it found in that month and shows the receipts behind the answer. It does not count every item on those receipts as coffee.
The website question works now. The Telegram sketch keeps the reply short and offers a way to open the matching receipts. Free-form spending questions in Telegram are still in development.
Explore every detail
Each saved purchase has its own date, store, name, category and amount. Inspect it in FacturAI or work with it in a spreadsheet.
A receipt total is only the beginning
Open your purchase history in FacturAI to see each saved item with its date, store, category and amount. That is useful when a whole receipt total is too vague.
Download those same rows as Excel or CSV. For club members, FacturAI can also keep a Google Sheet up to date automatically.
Use the budget app you already have
Keep your budget where it already lives. FacturAI can add purchase detail to matched payments in supported budget apps.

Download the same item-level facts for your own spreadsheets and scripts. Direct agent access through MCP is still in development.

For builders: the data stays useful beyond one app
A CSV row is useful when you want to inspect purchases in a table or run a simple script. JSON keeps the same fields in a shape that software can process directly.
CSV and JSON exports are available now. MCP is the planned route for connecting another agent to purchase facts; the agent sketch shows a question and one matching purchase, not a live tool call or a promised API schema.
